"SO YOU WANT TO BE A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR"

I. SUBSTANTIVE CONTENT OF COURSE
This course gives a basic knowledge of "what a private investigator is,
quality, techniques, sources used, equipment, and law and rules", that
govern today's Private Investigators. Although this workshop is useful to
teach any investigative related profession, it is tailored to the assumption
that the individual is considering obtaining a Private Investigator License.
This course explores a variety of teaching models and curriculum theories
that today's investigative personnel should be aware of. These models will
be defined, studied, and tested throughout the duration of this course.

II.
STRUCTURE AND METHODOLOGY
Training will not be presented in chronological order, but you must
complete each training module.
The course is divided into equal sections. Some sections end in a quiz.
After you begin the classes you will be assigned at least one case. The
case or cases that you will be assigned will require all of your skills to
solve or complete. You will be responsible for this case and will be
evaluated on the results you obtain.

III.
REQUIRED STUDY MATERIAL
No specific study book is required. Pass outs, discussions, illustrations,
charts, and personal notes are the physical material needed. However,
some of the books that are good reference material for this course is a
copy of the Penal Code, Health and Welfare Code, Family Code, Evidence
Code, Code of Civil Procedure, and any other California State Code or
Procedure.
